Apr 15 2008, 10:26 AM EDT I'm new to the whole Wiki thing, and just finding my feet. I think it would be nice to have a welcome and a brief explanation of what the different areas are about and what we can do here. H 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 15 2008, 12:22 PM EDT How about something like... Welcome to the Nuffield STEM(link to stem background) Project’s(link to project development) Wiki(link to wiki how to) website. Our project aims to develop 30 hour cross curricular projects for KS3 teachers. This should help teachers adapt to the changes in the National Curriculum (link). All development will take place on the site for all to see. Please see our discussion page(link) to be involved with how we develop and present it. With a few promos linking to other areas of the site on the right? Steve Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 18 2008, 5:00 AM EDT I like these suggestions. I too am a Wiki 'newbie' and this kind of combined introduction/welcome/help would be great for breaking down barriers to getting started. Could we have an explanation of how to link to sites and upload documents (people are already referring to research which many of us may not be familiar with). Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 20 2008, 5:45 AM EDT I'd like something brief about the process we are using for curriculum dev. in this project - which might be a question and link to something about the process - why we are using Wikis, our hopes for collaboration beteen teachers and other partners etc. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 25 2008, 4:57 AM EDT "Hey,I've just got the weekly update of all the activity that has been going on this week on this wiki. There have been a lot of discussions that I have somehow missed out on, even though I have been looking at the wiki most days. On the home page would it be possible to have a promo that says something like 'Top discussions this week' that gives links to what people are talking about? Just a suggestion?? I'm not sure if others would find it useful or not. Thanks Jo. Do you find this valuable? |
