J. Bronowski - The Ascent of ManIn 1924 in a place called Taung in Ethiopia, a fossil skull of 6 year old infant was discovered. It had two unusual features. Firstly it had an upright foramen magnun suggesting an upright spine. Secondly it had small square teeth which might mean that it fed from its hands. Could this be a fossil from the earliest human?
