As a Wiki owner myself allow me to give some advice. Wikis can be a frightening place for the newbie. keep teh newbie i mind and make sure that info that is useful for them to participate is easily available (and easy to read). If somebody submits a good article/project/information to your wiki then promote it on the front page. Remember the RULES FOR WIKIS. The 90-9-1 theory explains the percentage of a wiki's participation, breaking it down as readers being the highest percent, with minor contributors composing the 9 percent and enthusiastic and active contributors composing 1 percent of the total participants in a wiki. It's human nature but it is possible to skew the balance in your favour of eg., 80-16-4 but it will take a heavy investment in devloping your community as well as probably taking plenty of intiative yourself to create intersting articles in the first instance!.
